New collaboration, new Music!

A new musical adventure is taking form. I'm creating music together with the amazing musicians Remi Fox, Nicolas Fox and Matthieu Naulleau in Nox.3 ! A vinyl recording is in the pipeline with recording-date set to June 2017. But we've already recorded a small teaser-piece for you to lean your ears on, which has also been very nicely written about by Katia Touré on the blog Palabras en Jazz.

JOINING FORCES

NEW PROJECT - GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN

A NEW PROJECT is going to se the light of day the 15th of June thanks to the support from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee! JOINING FORCES is an exciting new project involving four of Swedens’ finest vocal improvisers; SOFIA JERNBERG, CASEY MOIR, ISABEL SÖRLING and LINDA OLÁH. All are established and mature in their musicality. Together they form an ensemble that is founded in the rich spectra of the voice; everything from sophisticated tonal masses to multifaceted guttural outbursts to the most fragile of harmonics. These four unique voices challenge boundaries and explore the curiosities found in each others sounds and textures as they weave, layer, overlap, create dissonance and build parallel lines of spontaneous invention. The result is one new collective voice with four bodies - and endless possibilities...

As a part of the work "Movement and sound" (- a collaborative investigation between dancers and musicians - ) "A consequence of Mergence part II" is a continuation of the previous duo created for 3e Vångingen in Gothenburg. This time Ingeborg Zackariassen and Linda Oláh invited Isabel Sörling to parttake in the investigation both to share the existing method and practis with a new participant and also to add her creative force into the project. The work was presented at Atalante in Gothenburg the 13th of February this year.
